Social Security payments being sent out for June? See full 2025 payment schedule

It is important for the more than 7.4 million Americans who receive Supplemental Security Income checks to be ready for their next payout to arrive at any time.

This is because June is an extraordinary month, meaning that the payment date has been delayed because the first of the month comes on a weekend.

Rather, on Friday, May 30, program participants should anticipate receiving their June paycheck, which will be their final payment until July.

According to the Social Security Administration, SSI is a vital benefit program that supports a number of vulnerable groups, including those with low incomes or resources, those 65 years of age or older, and those with qualifying disabilities, like blindness.

In September and November, recipients should expect a similar anomaly that will result in an atypical payment schedule.

The reason for this is that Labor Day, a government holiday that falls on September 1st, is likewise an exception to the rule. Instead, on Friday, August 29, the September check will be distributed. This means that, just like in May, participants will receive two checks in August but none in September.

The checks will be sent on Friday, October 31, again marking two checks in October but none in November because the first of the month occurs on a weekend in November.

The SSA states that for the remainder of the year, recipients should anticipate receiving their salaries on the following dates : Friday, May 30, 2025 (June 2025 check) July 1, 2025, Tuesday (check for July 2025)
